I’m glad you stopped by. I hope if you stay some of my words will meet you where you’re at with solidarity. I hope they will cause you look more honestly inside of yourself while simultaneously leading you to search more longingly outside of yourself.

About Me: My Southern roots mean that tea is sweet, Saturday is for football, and manners matter. My Northwestern upbringing impressed upon me the value of deep and honest thinking and the beauty of diversity. And my Midwestern mix taught me the misery that cold can be and the adventure that the outdoors can provide. It was also here, in the sneaky state of South Dakota, that I met my favorite person who would later become my husband.

10 years later you would find us digging deep roots in Twin Falls, Idaho: raising our 4 kids, supporting a church plant, involved in foster care, chipping away at house projects, and dipping our toes into home schooling.
